Bot report: check and enter the password
When to use this guide
Use the PDF from your own order and its accompanying message in the bot. Report headings follow the selected language. The free menu example explains the format; its password is not your order result.
Data and format
- Service Tag
- The device code used for this order. Compare it with the BIOS password screen.
- Case ID / order number
- The reference for support. Keep it together with the PDF.
- Master Password
- The password to enter. Numbers above the character cells show positions and are not part of the password.
- Character guide
- The sample uses black letters, red digits and blue special characters. The bot message also explains characters and letter case individually.
- Application instructions
- The section containing the input and confirmation sequence for your report.
- Possible variants
- An optional table for similar-looking Service Tags. If present, keep each tag paired with its password; do not mix characters from different rows.
Steps
- Open the order PDF, compare its Service Tag with your screen and note the case or order number.
- Use the US/English QWERTY layout specified in the report and bot message. Read the password itself, including every special character and letter case.
- Check ambiguous characters against the numbered cells, colour legend and phonetic description in the message. Cell numbers and explanatory words are not typed as part of the password.
- Enter the password on the device and use the confirmation sequence in your own report. If it specifies Ctrl + Enter, hold Ctrl while pressing Enter; do not press Enter alone.
- If your report includes a variants table, consult that section with the corresponding tags and passwords. After access is restored, follow your report’s instructions for removing or changing the BIOS password.
Result and next step
The device accepting the password confirms the result. Keep the PDF and order number for support; a generated report alone does not show that the password has been entered successfully.
